Image result for marketplace enrollment 2019 IN TEXASThe health insurance marketplace is now open through December 15th.  You must meet a few requirements to be eligible to enroll for marketplace health coverage.  You must live in the United States, be a U.S. citizen and not incarcerated to be eligible for marketplace health insurance coverage.  If a U.S. citizen lives abroad for 330 days out of the year you are not required to have coverage.  Uninsured individuals living abroad qualify for a 2018 tax year health insurance exemption and are not charged a penalty.  Keep in mind for taxes filed in 2020 the fee no longer applies if you did not have coverage in 2019.
